OUR SOCIAL PROGRAMS
We offer volunteers a various number of social programs in the areas of sports, education, culture, health and environment. So the volunteer have many options to get socially engaged, and to implement their skills and personal experiences as tools for transformation. The volunteers may participate in different programs, taking the opportunity to diversify their work and expand their knowledge. Teach and learn in a foreign culture.
All programs are coordinated by full-time professionals to guide volunteers in Portuguese.
TEACHING ENGLISH
English lessons for children and young people in the communities can have a positive impact on the learning process of students. Besides the English class guidelines, new ideas and resources are always welcome.
ARTS & EDUCATION
Experience the learning process of children and influence their hearts and minds. Educate kids through arts for a better future. Bring your brushes, crayons and let your imagination fly.
COACHING FOOTBALL
Coach football and experience the birth of new legends of the most played sport in the world right in the heart of a favela in Rio. Feel free to bring your boots and a few t-shirts from your local team.
DAY CARE CENTER
Take care of kids in local educational centers. Play with them teaching human values of respect and caring for the other. All the hard work is garanteed, but also the fun.
HEALTH CARE
Assist local doctors and physiotherapists in their work to improve the life quality of the community. No specific knowledge or skill are needed, but good will is always welcome.
CAPOEIRA
Teach and learn with the great Mastres of Capoeira in local communities. The famous fighting style disguised as a dance used to be practiced by slaves, but now it represents their freedom and is a symbol of life and transformation.
HANDICRAFT
The work in local centers of professional development prepares people for a job. You can support through your experiences and thus facilitate the beginning of a career.
CHILDREN´S CHOIR
Be a volunteer in a local choir for children in the community. Work side by side with teachers and musicians to develop kids through music and estimulate their talent and self-expression.
